The Hat Band’s Trip to Denmark
Tim Kent and James Morris, collectively known as The Hat Band, are a couple of happy musicians / entertainers from Sussex, UK, who meet up once every year to go and play their songs to wonderful audiences at The Victoria Cafe in Tonder, Denmark, during the famous Tonder Folk Festival which takes place every year at the end of August there in the south of Denmark.
The Victoria Cafe is situated right in the middle of the town in the most popular cobbled walking area. During the festival it is chock-full of people from all over Scandinavia and Northern Europe who have come to enjoy the music from the Festival in the festival arena and also in all the various different venues, cafes, pubs, restaurants and bars and streets around the town.
This 10 minute video gives a brief snippet of the atmosphere during the third day of The Hat Band’s performance which is full of fun and laughter, music from all scources, old and new and audiences full of party feeling and drink! The Victoria Cafe is always busy and is much fun to be in during the festival. There are several bands / groups who play here from morning until the wee small hours.
The Hat Band played for 17 hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this year. Thank you to all our friends, old and new, who came along and joined in.
We had a wonderful time!
